Marketing Assistant - Perm

Our client is seeking a Marketing Assistant for their New York, NY location.

Job Description:
The successful candidate initially will be responsible for improving and streamlining vendor relationships and communications, building and maintaining a library of collateral assets, updating event calendars, general event planning, and basic competitive research.
In time, additional responsibilities will be delegated in the areas of building a social media community, marketing campaign conception and construction, and other tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, internal sales teams, clients, and partners on marketing campaign execution
  • Maintain a marketing collateral asset database, a vendor contact database, and a master event calendar
  • Learn and work with various types of software for CRM, digital marketing, and social media
  • Assist the director of marketing with creating marketing materials such as whitepapers, case studies, and presentations
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Marketing
  • Prepare, format and edit a range of sales collateral and other types of documents
  • Understand company product, brand, and competitive environment
  • Create and maintain a variety of marketing KPI reports
  • Conduct basic market and competitive research
  • Update social media accounts

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or businessor equivalent experience
  • 2 years' worth of business experience in the IT software and/or hardware arena
  • Exercise a high level of attention to detail
  • Work effectively within a teamand independently
  • Full competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe software tools such as PhotoShop and Illustrator a definite plus
  • Good organization skills
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Occasional regional business travel
