Our direct client is seeking a Project Coordinator to work in their Newark, NJ location. This is a 6+ month contract opportynity.

Scope of Work:

Engaging project manager role responsible to plan and manage successful delivery of agile project in the HR Shared Services group. Project includes the planning, initiation and execution of a HR Shared Services Concierge Model to support employee leaves of absence. The successful incumbent will use project management methodologies, tools, artifacts and best practices to deliver projects on time for the full project life cycle from planning to implementation.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager who has a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to coordinate and lead across multiple stakeholders and delivery groups. They will manage all aspects of project delivery and solution delivery both functional and technical, working closely with workstream team members as well as well as leadership. Must demonstrate individual, functional and professional knowledge to ensure work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber.

Individual is expected to:
  • Independently define and maintain the project plans covering all 5 work streams (Org & Operational Design, Process and Correspondence, Documentation, Change Management & Operational Readiness)
  • Partner with work stream leads to execute plans, identify critical path items and manage/mitigate risk.
  • Manage issue, risk and action item logs and escalate quickly when needed.
  • Ensure cross-functional and cross-workstream dependencies are identified
  • Proactively identify deliverables coming due and provide reminders
  • Produce status reports
  • Develop presentations for leadership, steering committees, Project Stakeholders, etc.
  • Lead and manage the project team.
  • Ensure Change Management plans are defined and ready for pilot and go live execution
  • Lead cutover planning and execution to ensure operational readiness
  • Follow up on tasks requiring update

  • Engaging, collaborative and influential leadership presence with the ability to interact with various levels of leadership
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership in solving governance, project management, business process and/or technical problems
  • Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet constraints
