Associate - Contract

Duties:

This is an Associate role based in our Wilmington, Delaware location. The successful candidate will be part of the Transfer Agency Services team. The role is multi-functional and includes responsibility for day to day relationships with various third party transfer agents across the company open end mutual funds, including our Liquidity product range, acting as a primary contact for both internal and external parties as well as providing operations support during the launch, transition and termination of mutual fund products.

Responsibilities:
  • Creation and distribution of reports detailing shareholder activity
  • Validation and communication of large trade notices to Portfolio Managers, including entry and removal of estimates into a dashboard for Portfolio Management and Risk review
  • Daily monitoring and validation of cash flows for offshore Money Markets to ensure accuracy of reporting to Portfolio Management based in the U.S.
  • Review prospectuses associated with new fund launches and annual prospectus updates to ensure operations and transfer agent data is accurately represented
  • Review financial statements (annual/semi-annual), populate and quality review operations and transfer agent related data
  • Coordinate regulatory mailings and special shareholder communications with the transfer agents and mail houses
  • Investigate and resolve day to day operational queries, issues and incidents relating to the transfer agent functions
  • Maintain and update written procedures
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills:
  • 1-5 years, mutual fund operations experience, knowledge of transfer agency preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions
  • Acute attention to detail, understanding of downstream processes and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate an affinity for teamwork and to contribute as a partner
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Investment company and financial reporting experience a plus
  • Project experience a plus
