Marketing Communications Assistant - Contract

Our direct client is seeking a Marketing Communications Assistant to work in their Newark, NJ location. This is a 7+ month contract opportunity with possible hire.

Responsibilities:
  • Reports to and supports Brand Supervisor
  • Manage all legal/compliance reviews and final copy submissions
  • Work with team to manage file management system
  • Manages and coordinates assigned projects, including design and production and assists with presentation of various marketing materials for multiple internal businesses/clients.
  • Act as liaison between the client, integrated producer and creative team to ensure the client's needs and goals are being met on projects.
  • Ensures work is executed according to the established guidelines (strategy, timeline, budget and quality).
  • Works closely with our integrated producers to ensure that projects stay on schedule.
  • Prepares account service-related documents such as meeting agendas, meeting reports, proposals and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively to the team and partners (ie: integrated producer and creative department) to discuss next steps in the project.
  • Maintains positive working relationship with clients and agency staff.
  • Maintains current work-in-progress status reports and archives of past project information as appropriate.

Skills:
  • 2+ years' Account, Project Management experience.
  • Ability to take action by oneself, and to anticipate and develop solutions to problems without the aid of others for assigned projects.
  • Attends to the needs of the team, continually seeking ways to add value to the team and agency.
  • Strong project management skills, relationship management, presentation and ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic, detailed oriented, highly organized and reliable.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Prioritizes assigned projects and revises plans when required.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
