Project Manager (HCM) - Contract

Our direct client is seeking a Project Manager to work in their Newark, NJ location. This is a 18+ month contract opportunity.

Scope of Work:

Project manager for Global HR Service Delivery team which is responsible for designing and deploying a Global HR Service Delivery /Operations Model in conjunction with implementation of a Global cloud HCM solution.
This role will be responsible for defining and managing all Service Delivery work components and deliverables, status reporting, tracking and resolution of any Risks, Issues and Actions and documentation of decisions/recommendations. Identify interdependencies with other workstreams, including HCM functional/technical teams, user experience, enabling technology, and change management. Partner with consultants and third-party providers in support of this effort.
This person will report into the Global HCM PMO.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and follow-up on work with responsible parties in support of the build of a new Global HR Services model
  • Independently maintain the project plans
  • Manage issue, risk and action item logs and escalate quickly when needed
  • Follow up on tasks requiring update
  • Proactively identify deliverables coming due and provide reminders
  • Ensure dependencies between functional, technical, HR business groups and third party teams are identified and accounted for in overall project plan
  • Provide updates to Project Stakeholders via meeting material and discussion
  • Support the creation/review of project deliverables as needed

Required Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project
  • Proven experience managing a multi-work stream project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced with MS Office suite of tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Large -scale, project Management experience
  • Understanding of HR applications including HCM and enabling technology (e.g. knowledge management)

Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with 3rd party service models
  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, OneNote, etc.)
  • Experience managing projects globally across multiple times zones and languages
  • Understanding of Human Resources business processes (e.g. Talent and Recruiting, Compensation, core HCM, Payroll, Contact Center
  • Knowledge of Risk Management frameworks
