Atlantic Partners has a direct client located in Bethlehem, PA who has an immediate need for a Citrix Administrator for a Contract to Hire opportunity.

Position Objective:
This position provides technical leadership in one or more IT disciplines that support the organization's technical infrastructure. The primary focus of the role is to act as the lead Citrix Administrator. The role also requires Windows Operating Systems administration which may include network hardware and software,data architectures, operating systems, AD, GPOs, servers and /or peripherals. The position exists to provide 24x7 operational monitoring, first and second level troubleshooting and resolution coordination for Client's open systems technology within Citrix and Windows Operating Systems.

Principal Accountabilities & Duties:
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration, planning and problem solving for Citrix XenApp / Netscaler environment.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements for enterprise Citrix XenApp architecture, guiding adoption of and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Experience implementing, migrating, maintaining and supporting technologies for Citrix and Windows.
  • Organize and coordinate the activities associated with installation, deployment and upgrade or repairs to software, hardware and network facilities as it relates to the Citrix and Windows server environment.
  • Experience with the entire Citrix infrastructure including Netscalers.
  • Communicate with customers from problem identification through problem resolutions regarding technical support.
  • Courteous and tactful at all times with customers and IT Colleagues.
  • Responsible for keeping track of existing XenApp and Terminal Services license and resource usage, trending and capacity planning for future growth.
  • Responsible for providing Disaster Recovery solutions as it relates to the XenApp Environment by developing and maintaining a library of procedures for disaster recovery documentation.
  • Responsible for performance tuning and providing a high availability XenApp environments to eliminate single points of failure.
  • Work with Windows/Server team on virtualization initiatives.
  • Accurately maintain all documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, etc.
  • Ensures IT Leadership is aware of all known and identified risks to system availability, performance, reliability and security
  • Generate results through others (such as partners, vendors, contractors).
  • 5 years' experience implementing, migrating, maintaining and supporting technologies for Citrix.
  • Technical training or experience and at least 4-5 years supporting hardware, operating systems and software.
  • Obtained Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status, or has equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Citrix XenApp, MS Active Directory and OS technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Active Directory Domains integration and interaction with the network, Group Policy, Anti-Virus applications, DHCP, DNS and WINS.
  • 5 or more years' experience working in a Win-Client server environment.
  • Understands architectural issues, and factors them into decisions and recommendations.
  • Experience with VMware is strongly preferred.
  • Installs and supports complex technical system environments such as Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Cluster Server, Internet Information Server, Windows Terminal Server and VMware Vsphere.
