MS SQL Server Data Architect - RTH

Scope of Work:
The candidate will have two main responsibilities: Acting as System Administrator for our Client/Accurate automated reconciliation tool, and assisting a team to develop a new data mart to support the Securities Lending Financial Reporting group.
Client/Accurate is an automated reconciliation tool (aka Checkfree, NXG). SA responsibilities for Client will include participating in a version upgrade, supporting existing recs, developing new automated recs, routine support and troubleshooting, liaison with the vendor, and supporting annual business continuation testing.
Securities Lending data mart responsibilities will involve being a key member of a team that will design and develop this new SQL Server datamart, including establishing best practices for a system of this sort, requirement gathering, designing efficient, effective and maintainable batch and/or online processes, analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting. They may also include assisting in the development of the ad-hoc reporting star-schema interface, developing canned reports, dashboards, extracts, etc.
Qualifications

To be considered the qualified candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related IT field. The selected individual must have an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and have 5+ years of related work experience in Microsoft SQL Server, and one or more the following subjects: IIS, Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2012/2016, BI tools, Autosys, VB.NET, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual Studio. System Administration experience will be considered a big plus, as will any experience with an automated reconciliation tool.
  • 5+ years designing and developing SQL Server databases
  • Strong relational database query and data analysis ability.
  • Datamart experience a plus.
  • System Administration experience a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of investments or financial reporting a plus.
  • Proficient PC computer skills including Microsoft products
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working under tight time constraints
  • Application development project management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication (written & verbal)
