 Job Description:
The Informatica IDQ/PowerCenter developer will report directly into the ESTA DQM Head and lead all development activities related to repository management, IDQ rules, webservices, IDS, data profiling, & environment setup.
• Responsible for building platform across all diffeent environments (DEV, UAT, & PROD)
• Work with business analysts, team members, stakeholders and customers to formulate business requirements
• Generate and maintain IDQ workflows for defined rules
• Setup and maintain Informatica folders and folder access
• Linux folder creations and maintenance
• Create and maintain connections (relational, application, and flat files) and system username/passwords
• User support – answering questions, investigating user issues, and enforcing standards
• Manage and maintain existing Informatica interfaces: PowerExchange, ODBC connections, and Real-time
• Install, configure, migrate and support new interface setup: Web services, OBDC
• Configure and set-up proactive monitoring
• Set-up and manage self-service data steward roles
Your team:
The ESTA DQM team is part of the ESTA Analytics function, which itself is part of Infrastructure Services Core Engineering. The DQM team provides data quality services for 80 attributes used in various critical projects. These attributes are driven mainly from three-source system:
  1. Configuration Management (i-Sac)
  2. Service Management (SNOW)
  3. First Cut Risk Assessment (FCRA)
The working environment presents the following challenges:
• Multiple MS-Access databases pulling data from source system
• DQM rules operating on MS-Access database queries
• Restricted notification and escalation system
• Ability to manage stream leads, data stewards, data owners and other roles
• Time required to expand the DQM solution for new requirements
• Excellent Informatica IDQ development skills grown over many years of experience with a proven track record using Infromatica Powercenter 9.x and related Informatica products (certifications an advantage)
• Proficient in Informatica Developer, Web based Analyst tool, PowerCenter repository manager, workflow manager, & monitor
• Proficient in managing model repository, data integration, webservices, Analyst, Content Management Services
• Understanding of out of the box scorecards, dashboards, and data profiling
• Experience of using Business Glossary and Metadata manager
• Basic SQL skills, native PL/SQL demonstrating reliable and practical routine in reverse engineering of ETL code and legacy scripting for transformation into Informatica
• Confidence in using the standard Kimball methods in order to ensure a robust and mature industry standard data layer for IDQ workflows
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with experience in agile methodologies and attitude of a finisher
• Demonstrated experience in working large projects or small teams
• Enterprise Scheduling tool – Autosys
• Good understanding of MDM, Data Lineage, Business Glossary, & Data Governance
