Our direct client is seeking a Communications Specialist/Technical Writer to work in their New York, NY location. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Job Description:

Our direct client seeks a seasoned Communications Specialist/Technical Writer to drive communications planning and delivery for a transformative end user technology migration. Effort encompasses analysis, planning, and deliverable development. Individual will be responsible for liaising with the vendor for general content, then working closely with the internal teams to tailor and enhance the content for delivery to our employees. Role also involves contributing to executive presentations, key aspects of which are high impact visualizations, well-structure information categorization, effective storyline.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with vendor and internal teams to obtain understanding of the products and documentation requirements
  • Develop a cohesive marketing strategy and communications plan
  • Develop collateral to support end user communications and product adoption
  • Customize vendor documentation or develop new documents appropriate for the intended audience
  • Blend text, graphics, and video to deliver end user materials that contribute to the overall success of our products
  • Collect and track end user feedback for review and action
  • Work closely with program and product management teams to promote consistent messaging, processes, and alignment

Requirements:
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills
  • Polished and persuasive verbal and written communication skills and natural relationship building abilities
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, experience with Office 365 a plus
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff
  • Experience with organization/behavioral change a plus

Experience Level:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience developing end user communications in support of technology product or service

Education Level:
  • Bachelor's degree
