Role: Applications Consultant 2 – Shell Scripting and SAP Basis Administrator Consultant
Work Location: Woodlands, TX

• Qualification: Minimum 3 years experience, Bachelor's Degree.
• Certification: Should have or seeking SE Level 1.
• Should be proficient in Package Configuration.
• Should have progressing skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management
• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related subject is required.
• 3-5 years of SAP Basis project & support experience in a customer-facing role is required.
• Must have experience with supporting multi-tier SAP landscape comprising of ERP, PORTAL, APO, GTS, BI, SOLMAN, etc. solutions.
• Must have strong system administrator skills for both UNIX/AIX and Windows systems.
• Must have strong understanding of architecture and technologies that enable integration of SAP systems and technology stacks, i.e. RFC, ALE, BAPI, SFTP, CIFS/SMB, SAN, HTTP/S, SAML.
• Experience with troubleshooting SAP printer issues with understanding of SAP printer architecture including device types, UNIX/Windows print queues, Windows print server.
• Strong experience in UNIX shell and Windows PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with troubleshooting various SAP batch job failures.
• Experience with troubleshooting various SAP transport job failures.
• 1-2 years of experience with SQL and relational databases is preferred.
• Experience in all phases of systems implementation, including analysis/design, development, documentation, testing, and support is required.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to investigate, diagnose, and solve complex problems quickly is required.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment, to collaborate well with others and to coordinate with numerous teams and people to accomplish goals and assignments is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and issues in a concise manner (oral/written) to customers, peers and upper management is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participating in application support activities, including interaction with end users, troubleshooting and correcting issues, and reporting to management.
• Responsible for supporting Basis and Integration issues reported by end users.
• Coordinate any support work with internal and external teams.
• Will be responsible for analyzing requirements, recommending preferred solutions based on technical standards and best practices.
• Working directly with SAP Support teams to analyze and resolve issues.
