PLM Process Consultant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Serve as a thought leader and provide input on current and future process improvements and technology needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new releases or alternate software, interacting with consultants and user groups.
  • Development of business cases for major process and technology initiatives, including the identification of business metrics to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Design and implement major business processes within the PLM including: Product Development, BOM Development, Packaging and Regulatory.
  • Maintain a high degree of alignment with the operations and adjacent functions to assure an optimized overall process.
  • Complete regular strategic assessments of end to end PLM operational and analytical tools, identifying opportunities, disconnects and gaps.
  • Identify and assist with the prioritization of projects across the organization and within functions.
  • Drive standardized work across the PLM organization.
  • Evangelize new processes, procedures and technologies to the functional leader and assist with change management.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, cadence and process for employees within the PLM area to maintain and improve knowledge level of the process and the systems.
  • Create PLM-wide governance including roles, responsibilities and approvals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal partners: Marketing, Package Design, Regulatory & Compliance, Supply Chain, Change Management and IT.
  • Work with the other functional Business Process Managers, on broad company-wide initiatives.
  • Work with the PLM Steering Commitee to ensure the needs of the function and the business are being met and that the process and systems are being successfully applied to the business.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of consulting experience in PLM Business function.
  • Experience with consumer hardware Industry
  • Working experience in at least one product like Oracle, SAP etc
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within client company
  • Strong Program Management skills.
