We are looking for Business Analyst (BA) with past experience as software developer, and current experience in analysis of business processes and application functionality. This dual experience will allow you to be an important bridge between engineering and other business units, and our clients. 
This is a technical BA role and you will be expected to learn the internals of our systems and implementation methodology. 
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
We appreciate an advanced degree in business or related area.
No certification is required for this position.
  • At least five years of coding in your past, some in backend and some using modern web development.
  • At least three years of continuously taking additional responsibilities such as business analysis, requirement gathering, or team leadership.
  • Exceptional critical thinking.
  • Be on top of your game. 
  • Be honest and a humble team player.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, diagramming, etc.
  • Past experience with the following:
  • Knowledge with ETL tools.Linux, scripting, network configuration.
  • Hands on coding experience with Relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands on experience with Data modeling, SQL programming.
  • Hands on coding experience with HTML, CSS, UI design, or D3.Hands on coding experience with developing reports and widgets using Microstrategy.
  • Be the voice of the project, the customer, and the product. Communicate well, before there is an issue, and often. 
  • Be honest and precise.Manage the scope, schedule, and budget for your projects.
  • Research new ideas, present alternatives and experimental results.
  • Differentiate between level of effort and scheduling and manage customer expectations.
  • Make sure that customers yield expected value from our systems.
  • Prepare and give presentations to peers, employees, senior management, and external contacts. 
  • You are required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Participate and Manage software development cycles using tools such as IDE, version control, documentation and collaboration (e.g. Confluence, Jira).
  • Abstract and develop data models, middleware, and GUI code.Be able to reason on algorithmic complexity. 
  • Be able to communicate on these matters with our developers.Mentor and lead teams. Share your passion for software development and state-of-the-art software engineering.
  • Develop project plans, taking the customer dependencies into account, and be able follow through with high quality deliverables. 
  • On time and budget. Work closely with our software architects on this matter (they carry key responsibilities here as well).
  • Have an appreciation for technical and other project related documentation. 
  • You will be chiefly accountable for this important component of our projects.
  • Be able to manage technical talent, understand their needs, and keep them motivated.
  • Own your tasks, be able to take notes and follow through.
