Director, Data Engineering and Analytics

The opportunity:
  • As the Senior Director of Digital Transformation, you will work closely with stakeholders, business partners, domain product owners and development teams to bring new and innovative capabilities to our stakeholders around the broader Digital Transformation strategy and roadmap, manufacturing analytics, enterprise data strategy, and Master Data Management.
  • Develop the detailed digital transformation strategy and development and roadmap and operational model including accountability for the product strategy, technology roadmaps, requirements definition, functional designs and deployment of assigned products. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major modules of complex solutions/products,
  • Assists project teams in estimating the architecture design effort and in developing/ reviewing/ approving architecture designs.
  • Provide recommendations to the VP, Technology Transformation for long-term strategic plans to accomplish Enterprise IT goals.
  • Defines and communicates the product management methodology, guidelines, tools and practices.
  • Reviews and contributes to architecture standards or controls which allow business needs to be met.
  • Creates architectures for large scale, high-impact, or high-cost technology solutions by collaborating with other architects to develop the target state.
  • Leads the development of solution architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans to align business, applications, data, integration, and/or infrastructure architecture.
  • Anticipate and identify issues, and provide recommendations to address roadblocks and areas of opportunity
  • Advocate for the ongoing development of roadmaps and continuous enhancements of the IT solutions environment to meet changing business requirements.
  • Assist in the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on IT architecture

  • Being the subject matter expert on assigned functionality and customer journeys
  • Understanding and advocating for market, customer and business stakeholder needs to ensure we are building the right product functionality at the right time to deliver maximum value to our customers and business
  • Collaborating with technology and business leaders on identifying RPA use cases and business outcomes.
  • Fulfilling the duties of a product owner on an agile development team, including requirements definition, story writing, backlog prioritization, and feature roadmap creation
  • Partnering with business stakeholder teams to identify objectives, determine initiative scope, and document requirements.  Review and approve large requirements (Epics) and smaller requirements (Stories) based on feature strategy
  • Embracing the concept of continuous iteration and negotiating with various business and IT solutions partners on delivering a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) to gain customer insights and other performance KPIs to influence future development cycles
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and development teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Maintaining a product scorecard to measure and report on the success of the experience.
What you need to succeed:
  • Masters degree or higher in Product Management, Information Systems, Business, Communications, or other relevant areas
  • CSPO Certification desirable
  • 8+ years work experience in a IT Product Management.  Global company experience preferred. A track record of product management success at senior levels; designing, building & continuously improving products and solutions
  • 5+ years leadership experience, managing direct or virtual teams (demonstrated success in "middle management role”)
  • Experience designing, building, implementing enterprise business solutions.
  • Public/private cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) Experience with demonstrating as a visionary and strategist for providing solutions for a product area
  • Success in designing and facilitating requirements elicitation sessions including use of interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process outcome modeling, personas, user centric design, task and workflow analysis
  • Experience with working in an Agile development environment
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • A consultancy approach to your work and the ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and non-technical problems
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams without direct report relationships
  • Someone excited to facilitate organizational change
  • Experience with RPA and Technical Business Management platforms are desirable
