Python / DevOps Engineer

Role: Python / DevOps Engineer (Coderpad in Python)
Location: NYC 

Scope from client – SDLC experience – their concerns, a lot of AWS certified but not enough practical experience. Python, Jenkins, bit-bucket, terraform
Need someone coming from established places with large AWS footprint – 3+ years

need expereince in regulatory oversight, Clients are  Banking  which are more dynamic and agile
Someone coming from a Healthcare environment is ok, small to medium financials is better and tech companies as well (more established), fintech

Key Skills: UNIX, Python, Cloud Engineering (AWS preferred), CI / CD - DevOps background – i.e. monitoring, provisioning, containers, immutable infra is foundation

  Python Platform Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Design and develop high-quality automation workflows in the cloud using Python
  • Automate the provisioning of cloud environments using Terraform, Ansible and other tools
  • Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices and software run books
  • Collaborate with global cross functional team in building customer-centric products
  • Must be independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply expertise to drive complex, Technical and highly commercial solutions 
Basic Qualifications
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science
  • 5+ years experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
  • Strong experience in Python
  • A working knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration, deployment, and configuration management tools in a DevOps environment
  • Experience leveraging test driven development techniques
  • Comfortable with Agile operating models
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ansible, Gitlab, EC2, ECS, S3 and other AWS services
  • Experience with serverless platforms (e.g. AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience in Financial Services or Fintech
