SW/Test engineer

Position Description : We are looking for a Software Engineer to help with triage function. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

1. Triage issue tickets reported by customers in North America to isolate problems to ECUs and then narrow down problems to hardware and/or to software module.

2. Work with customers in North America to recreate issues and collect logs in vehicles as well as on customer test benches.

3. Identify violated system requirement, which leads to reported issue.

4. Identify software module/component leading to the issue and forward ticket to appropriate scrum team responsible for software component/module.

5. Help scrum team with recreating the problems reported by customers in North America by writing scripts and/or working on test benches (stress cyclers, simulation etc.).

6. Enter logs/data for issues in RTC and manage tickets reported by customer. Provide updates as needed on the tickets.

7. Work with cross-functional team (hardware, PD, software, electrical etc.) to support various product launches.

 

Skills:

1. Hands-on with C/C++ programming language. Familiarity with software programming standards (MISRA etc.) used in automotive industry.

2. Understanding of basic electronics (circuits, schematics, micro-controllers, microprocessors etc.).

3. Hands-on with CANoe and other CAN tools.

4. Automotive Ethernet knowledge.

5. Hands-on with Python programming language.

6. Working knowledge IBM CLM toolchain (RTC, DoorsNG, Rhapsody etc.).

7. Ability to understand system as well as software requirements for automotive ECU to narrow down problems to violated requirement. 8. Good understanding of software as well as system architecture for automotive ECU to isolate issues in system as well as in software. 3+ years of experience with embedded software products, 2+ years of experience in automotive industry. Willingness to travel frequency (50%) to customer locations is must. Expected to work extra hours to support product launch
