Project Manager

We're looking for a release project manager to:
• support and drive some readiness and release management activities • help define readiness and release management framework across IT, testing, program and business organizations • support program readiness and release management activities with documentation and status reporting, maintaining work stream project plans to ensure alignment to central program reporting, and ad hoc executive reporting requirements or work stream analyses.
• work with program leads to ensure risks, issues, lessons learned, etc. are utilized appropriately across all documents and forums • represent the work stream at project management forum, where required, to provide work stream status • identify opportunities to improve our project management processes and recommend changes
Your team
You will work with a team responsible to manage and coordinate a large body of work.
Your expertise and skills
• College degree with at least 3-7 years of experience in large, complex programs for a global Financial Services organization, preferably with experience scheduling, coordinating and managing releases across organizations for multiple applications across various portfolios • Solid understanding of project management principles • Practical exposure to all phases of the systems development lifecycle (coding, testing, etc) and a depth in technology • Good written, interfacing and communication skills to effectively interact with workstreams, development and test managers and program management, • Track record of successfully supporting business users with reporting & analytics, decision support, and presentation support • Confidence to enable reporting and making updates to various audiences, including senior management • Preference with experience in release management capacity • Preference with IT and Operations background • Ability to interact with all levels of management, multi-task and work well under pressure • Analytical, consultative and investigative skills and an independent, driven approach
• Solid to advanced experience in the Microsoft office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proven track record of delivering results and meeting targets • Strong planning and organizing skills • Collaborative, good team player • Strong negotiation and influence skills • Attention to detail, thorough Integrity • Versed in critical thinking and problem solving skills • Able to adapt to changing environment and needs • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with employees across the organization • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor style to your audience • Inquisitive, able to challenge effectively and manage conflicting stakeholder needs
