The Software Application Administrator is responsible for assisting with performing installations, configurations, administrations, and tuning of software application products for various Software Applications. The Software Application Administrator is responsible to run necessary system backups, and provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues. The Software Application Administrator conducts tasks and assignments as directed. The Software Application Administrator works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

  1. 40 %: Troubleshoots complex problems that come from end users that require research and new solutions. Perform software version upgrades and troubleshoots upgrade issues. Supports agile deployments/release to multiple environments. Resolves helpdesk tickets ranging from providing access to debugging build
  2. 20%: Assists with and implements defined application level architecture design. Adds new agents (UNIX), reinstall agents, and restart agents and relays.
  3. 20%: Administers, maintains and supports all facets of the ALM Lifecycles including Serena Deployment Automation (SDA), Dimensions CM, RM and Business Management (SBM) in development, test, and production environments
  4. 10%: Provides and manages user access. Provides support on maintenance weekends for smoke testing and troubleshooting, as required
  5. 10%: Recommends best practices for automated tool implementation, usage, and practices

Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience: 4-6 years

Work experience / skills / abilities required to perform the job effectively.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and programming principles is preferred.
• Previous Tools support for Serena Dimensions, Remedy, Client ALM\Quality Center, ServiceNow, Ansible, Atlassian Tools is a plus.
• Prior CMS Contract experience preferred
This position is an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides functional expertise through day-to-day work tasks. Works under the supervision of management.
