Genesis10 is seeking a Data Business Systems Analyst for a 6 month contract to hire position with a P&C/Reinsurance agency located in Warren, NJ. This is a hybrid position and will require being onsite 2-3 days per week. Applicants should be within commutable distance to Warren, working a hybrid schedule
Summary:
Data BSA- Data Business Analyst with a background in data analytics projects. supporting new system design, process optimization and automation, and strategic project execution that will have major impacts on the growth of the organization. It will work directly with insurance product leaders, underwriting, operations, technology, and other support functions to develop and implement high quality designs.
- Working closely with Property & Casualty business users and technical team to ensure the correct data is being sourced.
- Ensure Data is being sourced, tagging data in the harmonized zone for the different target models.
- Ensure the target model aligns correctly with the data model and for cloud-based reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing existing processes to map value streams, identify pain points and improvement/automation opportunities, and design future state processes.
- Collaborating with IT, Actuarial, and Operations to translate business needs into complete, precise, unambiguous, measurable, and traceable business requirements.
- Creating and maintaining workflow documentation that outlines end-to-end processes by role, line of business, and system.
- Developing and maintaining thoughtful KPIs to measure process effectiveness and success of improvement initiatives. Ensure benefits are realized and sustained.
- Active member of an Agile team including interacting directly with product owners
- Analyze source databases and systems to document user stories needed to ingest and process into the Data Lake
- Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing; Issue resolution/escalation including prioritization and tracking.
- Working with data engineers and quality engineers to assure specifications are understood and followed.
Requirements:
- Proven abilities in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Mapping, Data Analysis and Validation
- Experience and demonstrated skill in designing and documenting processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with needs analysis, best practices procedures, and requirements management methodology.
- An "engineering” mindset with an ability to solve business problems through thoughtful process improvements and system designs.
- Strong SQL skills to query SQL databases to perform data analysis
- Python experience- as it relates to data engineering
- Must have a proven track record of customer engagement driving discussions, facilitation/interactions with customer
- Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance products
- Agile experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Problem solving and priority management skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Familiar with Data Lake Zones preferred
