Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Addison, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assisting in the delivery of a world class security logging and monitoring platform through expansion and enhancement of existing services and integration with next generation SIEM and User Behavioral Analysis solutions
  • Leveraging standard cloud-based API's to develop monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Design, development, and implementation of Splunk boards and indexes to service business need, including configuration and access management
  • Splunk integration into Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Defender
  • New log client on boarding
  • Transformation of client requirements into useable monitoring solutions
  • Exploration of alternative logging solutions/technologies
  • Interpretation and analysis of corporate security standards and baselines
  • Security tool FAQ and Support Documentation
  • Reporting and alerting used for troubleshooting, audit and problem resolution

Requirements:
  • Cloud-based reporting and monitoring API knowledge (Graph, etc.)
  • Azure/M365 service expertise in Azure Log Analytics, Azure Event Hub, Unified Audit Log
  • Splunk Administration
  • RHEL 7.x and possible 8.x experience
  • Solid Splunk SPL experience
  • PowerShell
  • Syslog experience
  • 4+ years advanced scripting skills (python a plus)
  • Knowledge of privilege elevation tools
  • Load Balancing Technologies
  • Web services software
  • Experience working with DBMS technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication; able to communicate at all organizational levels
  • Self-motivated, confident and reliable
  • Willing to work in a team-oriented environment with global team members
  • Must be a problem solver with root cause analysis skills who brings solutions to the team
  • Ability to document installation procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Experience with ITSM Remedy or other ITSM tools

Desired skills:
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent 
  • Windows Server Administration experience
  • Experience with M365 and Azure workloads
  • Experience in a high volume Splunk environment

Pay Range: $63.68 - $71.68
