Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking an Interaction Designer. This is a 6 month + contract position located in New York, NY.

Summary:
  • The Client Cloud Healthcare & Life Sciences team helps healthcare and life sciences customers transform and evolve their business through the use of the client's global network, web-scale data centers, infrastructure, and software.
  • As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of research, clinical, pharmaceutical, and other healthcare and life sciences related businesses and research organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • We are hiring a UX (Interaction) Designer to define the user experience for new and existing Cloud Healthcare & Life Sciences products.
  • Key tasks include prototyping/wireframing, user journey maps, service design, interaction design, information architecture, advising on UX Research plans, supporting Eng during development, customer engagements/workshops, vision work.
  • Candidate should have strong technical comfort level since much of our work includes APIs, CLIs, notebooks, and complex Cloud concepts.
  • Help to define the user experience for new and existing client Cloud Healthcare products and features.
  • Influence UI, CLI, API, and notebook design with solid backend experience.
  • Collaborate closely with UX Researchers, Product Managers, Program Managers, Engineers, and other UX teams.
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into usable and powerful products.
  • Create designs including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and communicate design intent to both internal and external teams.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the Client Cloud Platform products, technologies, user motivations, and market opportunities to incorporate complex technical and business requirements into design.
  • Communicate design vision, rationalize, and justify decisions, and advocate for users' needs.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of industry experience.
  • Able to create prototypes and wireframes.
  • Able to map out user journeys, information architecture, and service design maps.
  • 2+ years of experience designing for one or more of the following spaces: enterprise healthcare, cloud, large-scale data warehousing & analytics, developer tooling or APIs, and/or other technical experience.
  • Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Desired:
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Pay rate range: $70.95 - $77.26 hourly.
