Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver software solutions as part of a team of developers, business analysts, testers, working with the client’s technology and business partners
  • Maintain good communications with team members and business partners
  • Follow project processes and meet project standards
  • Learn and use new technologies in the project when required
  • Assist in the application release activities 

Requirements:
  • Good development experience in .NET Framework 4.5, ASP.Net 4.5, C# 5.0., ASP.Net MVC, Web API, Angular.js
  • Sound knowledge of SQL Server (2012, 2014), WCF, REST services
  • Good experience in Object Oriented design & development
  • Exposure to DevOps tool such as JIRA, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins
  • Ability to work independently within a team structure
  • Some web Development experience using JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS 3, JQuery, Bootstrap, Ajax
  • Exposure to Application Design
  • Experience with Test Driven Development
  • A passion for the delivery of high quality solutions which address real business needs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work on own initiative with attention to detail
  • Hands on approach required with ability to multi-task / prioritize tasks along with demonstrable pragmatic decision-making capability
  • Degree/Masters or equivalent by experience

Desired skills:
  • Familiarity with CODE / Jira
  • Agile – Scrum/Kanban knowledge
  • Relational database skills, including use of SQL for analysis
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and an understanding of Global Markets financial products, business processes and terminology
  • Exposure to Risk Management
  • Exposure to Banking and Finance Domain

Pay Range: $58.26 - $66.26
