Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting distributed database products on Linux
  • Involved in design, install, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot the distributed databases
  • Analysis, design, collection of user requirements, evaluation of various technologies and platforms for the system integrations
  • Provide database support by debugging data structure, queries, debugging environments, identifying bugs, promoting fixes and integrating product fixes during engineering and integration phase
  • Build relations with stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Resolves diverse database performance and capacity issues
  • Automating deployment and operational tasks with Cron and Crontab files, Ansible or BladeLogic
  • Hand On & Direct Production, Supporting Level 1, 2 and 3 Activities

Requirements:
  • Familiar with distributed database architecture like Redis, Cassandra, SingleStore (Memsql), CockroachDB
  • Ability to meet / speak with the developers / clients to gain an understanding of their architecture, systems, objectives, etc. and then determine the big data solution most appropriate for their teams
  • Experience performing NoSQL code reviews and exposure to latest development frameworks, such as Spring
  • Hands-on experience working with servers (Linux) and writing scripts (preferably Python) to automate processes
  • Designing data architecture
  • Hands-on Support and High-Level Architecture / Engineering as it relates to Big Data and NoSQL
  • Ability to resolve routine break-fix support-related issues
  • Linux System administration, Cassandra, SingleStore (MemSQL), Redis

Pay Range: $63.68 - $71.68
