Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will contribute to the software development lifecycle of products and services from inception stage through to the final implementation
- Support application development teams with Enterprise Change methodology, processes, deliverables, etc.
- Assist with Agile related routines (including but not limited to Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and support the active management and disposition of decisions, issues and risks
- Understand and make connections throughout the Treasury technology process to ensure roadblocks and impediments are removed
- Communicate, influence, and negotiate to obtain agreement between partners and escalating items, when needed, to ensure execution activities remain on track
- Represent the application development team in various Agile, governance and status related forums
Requirements:
- 1 - 3 years of work experience with a financial institution
- 3 - 5 years of project management experience
- Experience leading technology and infrastructure projects i.e., hardware/software upgrades for refresh, application upgrades
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work efforts and consistently meet deadlines
- Must be able to translate business plans/policies into specific goals and action plans
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills (to include written and verbal)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
- Experience compiling and maintaining extensive project documentation, such as project plans, project budgets, and issues lists and RAID logs
- Self-motivated with proven flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment; able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to work within strict timeframes and meet the demands associated with managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Excellent meeting management skills, to include developing agendas, facilitating meetings, and compiling formal meeting minutes
- Ability to confidently speak in small and medium-sized forums
- Proven ability to focus on detail
- Resolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
- Strong, proactive leadership capabilities inspiring fellowship
- Ability to stimulate and participate in creative thinking for out-of-the-box solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate, interact with and influence
- Work effectively within a fast-paced, cohesive team
- Willing to learn fast and adapt quickly to change
- Excellent written (technical) and verbal communication
Desired Skills:
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- 6+ years of change management experience
- Understanding of client Enterprise Change Standards, Policy and Tools
- Experience working in multiple client lines of business, ideally with exposure to product, strategy development, and transition-like execution
- Strong, confident presentation skills, the ability to synthesize information, and communicate clearly and succinctly with stakeholders
- PMP or six-sigma certification is a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience in testing, deployment, and implementation
Pay Range: $46.16-$54.16
