Enterprise Project Manager - Underwriting
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Enterprise Project Manager - Underwriting for a 6+ month contract working for an Insurance company client in the Rolling Meadows, IL area. This is a 100% remote role.
Description: This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a project from conceptualization through post implementation. Leads projects that will span a degree of size and complexity and requires working within a matrix environment. Builds relationships with business leaders, key stakeholders, the project team, and any vendors and/or consultants. Provides direction to the project team to deliver on the agreed upon scope and timeline. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience managing multiple cross-functional diverse projects. The candidate will have eexcellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills with the ability to manage medium-large sized project efforts effectively, utilizing a working knowledge of project management methodology. Responsibilities: Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of project management including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing Works with project sponsor to successfully initiate the project adhering to established governance process Accurately scopes and estimates the projects and develops realistic, workable plans, costs, and timelines Identifies and delegates tasks with concrete due dates and criteria for successful completion Effectively manages projects, incorporating appropriate communication, feedback, and follow-through Proactively monitors progress, identifying and managing risks and issues and makes mid-course adjustments, as needed Ensures the appropriate level of stakeholder involvement Ensures the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality Identifies, secures, and manages required resources (vendor and internal) Contributes to project initiation materials (e.g., CBA, approval presentations) Applies project and program management methodologies and best practices Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, and project resources Professionally influences and leads others in a matrix environment Communicates clearly and concisely across various levels with the organization and tailors the message according to the audience Manages vendor relationships Manages expectations to sponsors and key stakeholders Perform other tasks as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required and 5 or more years of experience leading and managing projects or equivalent experience in the P&C or Financial Services industry. Equivalent experience is defined as 10 or more years of experience leading and managing projects. PMP preferred. Property/Casualty Insurance experience is strongly preferred. Claims Experience preferred. Financial services experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
