Genesis10 is currently seeking a SharePoint Online Architect with our client in the financial industry in their Charlotte, NC location. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and execution of best-in-class engineering procedures to support Microsoft 365 delivery
- Assists members of the engineering team with duties as assigned by management
- Architect and design M365 service integration architectures with focus on modern collaboration services using SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business
- Provide architectural support for initiatives ranging from Proof of Concepts with new technologies and integration paradigms to complex multi-year implementations
- Brings strategic, deep understanding of Microsoft 365 concepts and practices, with proven techniques in the development and integration of M365 services, including Power Platform, Teams, etc.
- Provide strategic technical guidance to leadership and development teams to implement best practices and execution for high performing marketing campaigns, teams and business units
- Helps create and execute best-in-class engineering processes in support of Microsoft 365 delivery
- Focus on process improvements contributing towards increasing operational excellence and an improved user experience
- Facilitates the resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the engineering lifecycle, including classification, prioritization, and initiation of action
- Create design concepts for distribution lists, security groups, and M365 Groups
- Strong experience architecting and building applications to be deployed within SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platforms
- Will generate and maintain architectural design artifacts in support of governance standards, requirements, and operational excellence
- Perform analysis, identify gaps or improvements, and develop solutions based on current business needs
- Provide oversight on daily engineering activities, function as mentor, help with problem escalation, and communicate significant problems or issues to management
- The candidate will guide design discussions/decisions based on business and technology requirements, provide engineering analysis, and propose technical solutions to implement, monitor, and maintain long term compliance with baselines and standards
Requirements:
- College degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 10+ years' experience with architecture and engineering for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and/or Power Platforms
- Expert-level knowledge of relevant collaboration services both cloud and on-premise
- Expert-level knowledge of all aspects of Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, Identity & Access Management, Purview, Security/Compliance, Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Information Protection
- High-level knowledge of foundational components such as Active Directory, network infrastructure/architecture(DNS/DHCP, routing, etc.), and PowerShell scripting
- Expert level design and solution engineering experience in various collaboration technologies
- Expert knowledge of overall Microsoft 365 design, deployment, configuration and administration
- Expert knowledge in the design and deployment of Microsoft Office Solutions
- Self-starter, critical thinker, with proven ability to deal with granular requirements yet see things holistically and strategically
- Ability to shift and pivot with changing responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently
- Ability to work with business and technical teams to build requirements and technical artifacts
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to learn new technology and business process as required
- Ability to create architecture documents including network/data flows and test plans
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable sharing ideas and concepts in a highly collaborative team
- Have experience with ITIL foundational and Agile process methodologies
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail, effective time management skills
- Possess a personal sense of urgency and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- English speaking/writing
- Microsoft Azure
- The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with experience in architecture design, engineering, security/compliance best practices, and governance for Microsoft 365
- Strong technical and customer communication skills are required for this role
- Candidates must be able to interact directly with all stakeholders, including project, security, compliance, data, user experience, engineering, architecture, operations, and governance
Desired Skills:
- Experience with enterprise security including TLS including SMTP over TLS, certificates, HSM
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system environment
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
- Authentication mechanisms including domain authentication, OAuth/Modern Authentication, Kerberos
- Experience with network security components including load balancers and firewalls
- Understanding of Financial Regulatory, Legal and Compliance requirements
- Experience with ITIL methodologies and best practices
- MCP or higher certification
Pay Range: $60.24- $68.24
