Genesis10 is seeking a Data Engineer for a six-month contract to hire position supporting a financial services client based in Pittsburgh, PA.  This will be a HYBRID work schedule (2-3 days on-site per week) in Pittsburgh, PA. No C2C, please.
 
Compensation: $50-$68/hr W2, depending on qualifications
 
Job Duties
  • Support ESO Data & Analytics Team in collection, distillation, synthetization, and presentation of third-party metrics to support business decision making. This includes:
  • Providing advanced data analysis and use data to provide answers to business questions
  • Harvesting data from disparate systems and synthesize data for effective analytics and reporting
  • Performing data quality checks and conducting data lineage impact assessments as data source systems change
  • Document data dictionary and associated process flows for recurring analytics requests
  • Documentation management of all related data analysis and project activities
  • Document and follow up of new and active action items. Follow through to resolution / closure in a timely manner
  • Attend meetings and present and defend data findings to cross-functional teams
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management, computer science, or a related discipline required
  • Business and Data Analytics Certification preferred
  • 5-10 years of data and business and data analysis experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment required
  • Advanced SQL, T-SQL with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio. Must know Excel functions such as HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX, Boolean Functions, Slicers, Pivot Tables, Scenarios, Data Models. Ability to create Relational Data Models using Excel is preferred
  • Experience in financial services industry is preferred
  • Experience in vendor management, GSCM, risk management is a plus
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (NO C2C)
