Genesis10 is seeking a Financial Advisory Project Coordinator/Junior PM for a contract position with a financial services company located in New York, NY.
This role is responsible for supporting the Business Design function with a focus on managing and administering projects within the portfolio: maintaining project artifacts for internal audit, managing project plans, driving recurring project meetings, taking meeting minutes, and reporting to the PMO.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, development staff, and division representatives to enable completion of project requirements
  • Maintain an Integrated Project Plan of all projects, critical milestones, delivery dates, and project interdependencies
  • Ensure completion of required project documentation and adherence to policies and guidance
  • Assist PMs in conducting risk analysis; managing and monitoring risks/issues
  • Schedule regular meetings, taking minutes, and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
  • Breakdown projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals and follow-up on completion
  • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)
  • Monitor project progress and address potential issues
  • Build relationships between teams, IT staff, and business partners to ensure high quality and timely delivery of customer focused solutions
  • BS or BA degree in IT or business-related major
  • 3 years of experience in a project administration or project management on IT projects
  • 2 to 3 years' experience working on-site in face-to-face meetings with clients
  • Experience working with formal project management methodologies (SDLC, Agile and Waterfall, etc)
  • Able to take initiative, anticipate needs, listen comprehensively,
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple teams and other stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Proficient in Project Planning tools (MS Project or SmartSheet), SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA
  • Experience in financial services and/or banking
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, able to speak with the business experts confidently and produce comprehensive documentation
  • Well organized and consistently delivers on commitments within predetermined timelines
  • Able to work under tight timeframes and be able to multi-task effectively
