Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Engineer for a 6-month contract to hire position with our client. The role can sit in St. Louis, Phoenix, or Milwaukee.

The IT Project Engineer will analyze customer needs and communicate recommended solutions from an executive leadership position to the technical staff supporting the solutions being implemented.

Day to Day
  • Deliver billable services to client's customers supporting defined statements of work and other customer ad-hoc technical support needs.
  • Determine customer's needs, scope an adequate solution that aligns with customer's expectations.
  • Maintain documentation to show design, how to implement and support the design, and to provide references for support personnel to maintain the solution.
  • Work with various sales, technical and leadership roles to ensure a team approach to the customer is maintained.
  • 7-10+ years of experience working in a technical design and delivery role for large enterprise environments or in a technical service delivery industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • Network and security certification such as CISSP, CISA, ITIL and PMP preferred
  • Certifications with the following vendors are highly preferred: Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, F5, Infoblox
  • Knowledge of server and endpoint control solutions such as application deployment and vulnerability controls
  • Understanding and experience supporting and deploying SSL certs concerning VPN and Proxy SSL Decrypt systems
  • Knowledge of identity and access management solutions including SSO and MFA
  • Cloud-based solution experience: staging, integration, migration
  • Routing and switching background supporting network segmentation, redundant and resilient network design, and designs that promote effective utilization of resources
  • Experience with firewall design, implementation, and support
  • Understanding of security frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, NIST, and GDPR solutions
