Genesis10 is actively seeking ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­a Mortgage Processor II for a leading financial institution. This is a 3-month W2 only contract position in Bridgeport, CT.
 
Job Description:
  • The Mortgage Loan Processor II is responsible for ensuring loans are processed accurately and in a timely manner and must monitor and maintain compliance with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by federal, state, local and investor guidelines.  In this role, it is important to ensure internal and external customer service expectations are exceedingly satisfied and to establish pro-active and timely communication to clients, Loan Officers, Underwriters and the closing department.  The Mortgage Loan Processor II obtains necessary information and documentation to process and complete mortgage loan files.  Verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness.  Knowledge of the mortgage loan process and associated documentation with a strong understanding of regulations and laws associated with residential lending is critical for success in this position.  Ability to determine incomplete, inaccurate or missing information.  To motivate, problem solve, counsel or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
  • Maintains or exceeds established individual loan production metrics from management.
  • Works production queue in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Issues initial loan disclosures and required state forms.
  • Issues re-disclosures for valid changes of circumstances.
  • Adheres to TRID regulations and issues initial loan disclosures and issues re-disclosures.
  • Reviews data, tasks and documents to authenticate and validate information entered into the system.
  • Supports and assists closing dept in requests and reviews of title documents.
  • Performs verification of employment, both written and verbal, as requested/required.
  • Contributes to quality efforts of the Mortgage unit and contributes to teamwork by providing support in the department and throughout the organization.
  • Gathers all requirements and prepares loan for underwriting approval. 
  • Directly communicate with Loan Officers and service providers to gather and clear underwriting conditions; primarily responsible for documentation collection and review
  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies
 
Responsibilities/Requirements:
  • Encompass
  • Effective PC skills including word processing, internal and industry standard systems. Ability to learn to use additional applications as needed.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to perform all duties accurately.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic understanding of business technology including web-based applications and computer use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to complete assigned tasks in a paperless technology-based environment.
  • Strong ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced multi-task environment
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Standard 1st shift 9-5:30 with the possibility of evening hours
  • The ability to maintain or exceed established individual loan production metrics from management
