 Genesis10 is actively seeking ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­a Small Business Administration Lead Service Officer for a leading financial institution. This is a 6-month W2 only contract position in Cleveland, OH.
 
Job Description:
  • Provides sales support, problem resolution and loan documentation, loan closing services and deposit services for Senior Franchise Sales Rep to enhance and expand existing client relationships in the franchise industry.  Helps manage the client relationship along with the Senior Franchise Rep.  Committed to overall excellence in servicing and mitigating risk in all aspects of the client relationship, including loan and deposit accounts for franchise relationships.
  • The role of the Franchise Sales Officer is to primarily support the Senior Franchise Sales Rep by proactively reaching out to borrower for loan transactions and assisting with client deposit account opening and need identification/coordination, product delivery and sales planning to help the borrower's needs as well as the Senior Franchise Sale Rep
  • Pipeline & Opportunity Management
  • Helps maintain relationships along with Senior Franchise Sales Rep for centers of influence (COIs) for franchises
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of SBA products and basic knowledge of broader business banking products and services. 
  • Helps Senior franchise rep manage Saleforce pipeline for franchise loans
  • Needs Assessment:
  • Discusses the client with the Senior Franchise reps to better understand the borrower's needs before going to Credit for decisions
  • Supports Senior Franchise reps with sales preparation, documentation including financials, if SBA product all required documents, SBA equity injections, loan closing, and construction draw and monitoring.
  • Takes full ownership of the loan closing process working directly with the borrower, external and internal partners.
  • Takes full ownership to ensure unresolved documentation exceptions from loan closing are tracked on the exception report and clears documentation exceptions, working together with the Senior Franchise reps and the borrower
  • Fulfillment:
  • Is primary contact with borrower's in loan closing process to gather all required documents pertaining to the loan closing, proactively drives the loan closing process
  • Serves as primary contact in Senior Franchise Reps absence to provide a high level of customer service and value.
  • Directly involved with borrower's new loan requests; collects appropriate financial information from borrower, discusses product features and coordinates conditions/details of credit with credit underwriters and client to ensure timely loan process.
  • Works closely with multiple parties including outside counsel, Client's Community Bank partners, support staff, SBA credit and closing groups, the Community Bank Real Estate Team, borrowers, borrower's counsel, Client's outside counsel, Title Company, escrow officers or other lenders to achieve a well-coordinated and timely loan closing. 
  • Participates or conducts closing on behalf of the Senior Franchise reps as requested.  
  • Ensures loan packages are complete to ensure that documents are executed properly prior to sending in for booking.
  • Funds loans once they are closed and completes advances throughout the draw process, if applicable to the loan.
  • Coordinates set-up of new and maintenance or closing of existing deposit accounts for franchise clients.  Works in tandem with Senior Franchise Rep, Credit partners and Deposit Services to ensure daily resolution to client's overdrafts and insufficient funds
  • Follow up:
  • Responds to routine and complex client inquiries and resolves/refers to appropriate support partners.  Submits service requests for DDA or general service needs.  Coordinates follow-up with internal partners and clients, as appropriate, to ensure prompt and accurate completion/resolution of service requests. 
  • Coordinates other non-credit products by interfacing with product specialists to expedite the process, coordinate documentation and close on new product relationships.
  • Provides expertise and assistance to Senior Franchise reps on internal support systems and functions to ensure that procedures and programs are being utilized properly.
  • Proactively identifies process improvements to continuously deliver undeniable value to our clients
  • Adheres to and support Client's compliance culture
  • This role would be working very close with Franchise Sales Officer, this role would be  the primary contact with borrower's in loan closing process to gather all required documents pertaining to the loan closing, proactively driving the loan closing process.   This role will also be working with outside counsel with Client and clients counsel teams as well.  Having knowledge of SBA Loans would be a plus as many of these loans will be SBA.  The role will be working with setting up Deposit Accounts so some knowledge of commercial deposit accounts is going to be helpful.  Needs to have strong customer service skills as they are the primary contact
 
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience Minimum 3-5 years related work experience. Basic financial services knowledge General knowledge of Banking products, services and, basic Commercial Lending (ideally comprehensive) Basic (Ideally comprehensive) knowledge of all SBA products and services Demonstrated experience with personal computer applications Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and strengthen effective working relationships among team members and product and support partners Excellent time management skills, able to manage and track details for multiple clients and prioritize against daily responsibilities. Excellent attention to details
 
Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable technology including MS Windows/Office Products (excel, word and PowerPoint, , Hogan, SalesForce.com
  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual
