The Director of Data Analytics is responsible for leading the data analytics department, and directing the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary to support business goals, vision, and objectives.
  • Provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in the design and recommendation of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business.
  • Leads the technical operations and development organization responsible for the analysis and results interpretation of large data sets.
  • Organizes and assembles the staffing, technology, processes, and financial resources necessary to address the current and future analytics needs of the business.
  • Oversees the provision of citizen data access, business intelligence and statistical tool strategy, enterprise dashboards, data visualizations, and business and clinical decision aids.
  • Leads collaboration efforts with business analytics teams and plays a critical role in the support of enterprise data governance.
  • Functions as liaison between IT and business partners to help prioritize data reporting and analytics requests, establish processes to support citizen reporting, and ensure proper data access and security protocols
  • Works and collaborates closely with the Director of Data Science, ensuring alignment of strategies within the data analytics department.
  • Oversees data and analysis education for end users and report consumers.
Required skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field required (10 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in management role in data analytics
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data systems and current analytics technologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exercise sound judgment when making recommendations to members of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in healthcare environment
Preferred skills:
  • Experience in care delivery environment for Medicare patients.
  • Experience with population health management solutions for Medicare patients
  • Experience with NCQA and HEDIS reporting guidelines and requirements.
