Genesis10 is currently seeking a Human Resources Director with our client in their Dallas, TX location. 

Description:
  • Seeking a Human Resources Director
  • Primary function of the Human Resource Director is to coordinate all HR policies and programs including benefits and compensation, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • This position is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities including safety efforts
  • The HR Director shall maintain professionalism and an effective level of business literacy, the Company's midrange plans, its culture, and its objectives
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct and supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs
  • Develop, implement and control programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees
  • Administer benefits programs, including conducting analyses and serving as primary contact with providers (including group health and life), workers' compensation, unemployment and retirement plans
  • Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures for HR initiatives including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with MBM© management principles and the overall objectives of the organization
  • Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc
  • Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store and analyze pertinent data and information
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management
  • Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources
  • Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, employees and retirees accordingly 
  • Overall, ensure that Cholla is in compliance with established policies, procedures, and relevant federal, state, and local law 
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relation issues
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs  
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success 
  • Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • This position currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions at company
    • This position may plan, assign or supervise the work of others
    • This position functions as a team leader for various initiatives 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in HR with strong HR management experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification preferred
  • Prior payroll and benefits management experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning employee benefits and payroll
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient HRIS technologies and Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Physical Requirements: 
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
