Genesis10 is actively seeking an SAP Application Development Manager for a direct hire fulltime opportunity.  The client is in the transportation Industry and they are located down town, Kansas City, MO.
  • This position is responsible for architecture and design of the SAP HR systems, including SAP HCM and SuccessFactors, integration from SuccessFactors to backend SAP as well as peripheral interfaced/integrated non-SAP systems, upgrade and support of SAP HR on-premise and other cloud-based Human Resources systems, and ensuring that SAP HR systems operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment. In addition, this position will be a primary interface for HR and Payroll business groups across US and Mexico.
  • This position is responsible for implementing and delivering processes, services and procedures that are aligned to industry best practices and considered value added, measurable, directly tied to business unit's objectives and aimed at increasing employee success and satisfaction.
  • Works on a variety of issues where analysis requires evaluation of multiple factors, including business objectives and trends. Adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges within a functional area; defines department's operating standards.
  • Translates the business unit's vision into plans and guides execution. Plans and prioritizes work to meet department commitments aligned with company goals and financial responsibilities. Manages the progress toward stated goals and execution of corporate policy.
  • Manages professional teams comprised of individual contributors and/or supervisors. Participates in the interview and selection process, provides training and mentorship, offers career development guidance, and is engaged in performance management. Provides timely and constructive coaching and feedback; develops staff and provides challenging opportunities. 
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the HR ERP Systems Team and guides continuous improvement of processes, technologies and architecture.
  • Liaises with the functional SAP HR/SuccessFactors experts as well as HR, Payroll and other business teams to assist with the ongoing functional support of SAP and resolve complex or emergent operational problems.
  • Demonstrates tactical approaches from past project experiences that also reflect the alignment with a broader ERP strategy aligned to HR and Payroll business goals for US and Mexico HR groups.
  • Configures BP applications based on functional requirements for cloud-based solutions. Partner with ERP/IT team(s) for configuration of on premise solutions.
  • Acts as liaison between BP process owners and ERP/IT team(s).
  • Advances the delivery of meaningful analytics in support of BP objectives.
  • Educates and Engages US and Mexico business super users in the delivery of training relevant to client SAP HR systems.
  • Implements and supports SAP HCM, SAP Cloud Platform, SuccessFactors (Learning, Performance & Goals, Succession, Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding and Compensation) and related systems.
  • Manages future technology and innovations for the ERP platform.
  • Develops and maintains the HR and Payroll systems roadmap for US and Mexico in alignment with the business goals. Identifies reporting and technical integration requirements in collaboration with other IT teams.
  • Identifies and implements fix-the-foundation initiatives to enhance existing processes and adopt standard SAP functionality on an ongoing basis.
  • Understands the existing and emerging technologies in SAP and non-SAP space in the areas of SAP HR including, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud Platform Integration and SuccessFactors Integration Center.
  • Serves as a champion to excite the larger user community about the capabilities of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors solutions.
  • Understands capabilities of SAP SuccessFactors partner products such as Benefit Focus, Workforce Software (ACT and Time & Attendance) and Sodales.
  • Works jointly with enterprise architecture, IT security and other information systems groups to successfully implement new technology solutions.
  • Manages the relationship with SuccessFactors, SAP, SAP solution extension vendors with the ERP Director and in consultation with the business, to ensure that business needs are being addressed through the solutions being implemented. Ensures integration with processes and systems supporting other business groups.
  • Maintains effective customer relationships with designated business partners (BP).
  • Partners with BP process owners to develop strategies, objectives and roadmaps for BP applications that are in alignment with functional goals.
  • Partners with BP process owners and cross-functional stakeholders to define business requirements and translate business needs into multi-year & tactical system implementation plans, including project prioritization, scheduling and resource planning in partnership with IT.
  • Serves as steward of user experience for the BP applications supported; monitor system adoption and user feedback; ensure the development of processes, tools, support materials, and training to maximize system adoption.
  • Leads the implementation of process improvements and innovative tools for the BP function with the goal of increasing overall efficiency, effectiveness and user experience. Responds to internal and external audit requests as needed Exemplifies Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders. 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including leading and managing projects or programs with outcome focused deliverables, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience directly or indirectly leading a team.  
Desired Requirements:
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience with SAP HR, SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors (Learning, Performance & Goals, Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding and Compensation)
  • S/4 HANA experience, SAP HCM (both HR and Payroll, SAP HANA, SAP ABAP
  • SAP Cloud Platform
  • Experience with integrations including SAP Cloud Platform Integration, Mulesoft
  • Strong understanding of SAP Time and Payroll processes, including time entry, time approval, time evaluation, time-to-gross, gross-to-net and payroll tax reporting.
  • Railroad experience
  • Certifications - SAP Certifications in HR, Certification in one or more SuccessFactors modules, preferably Employee Central
