Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineering Technician III with our client in the SEO industry in their Mountain View CA location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

  • Seeking an Engineering Technician III
  • This role is for an expert-level mechanical builder
  • You will assemble, test, and debug complex electro/mechanical devices, in a small-scale pilot production environment
  • Assembly and debug of precision electro/mechanical systems including tight tolerance mechanical assemblies, electrical wire routing, cable termination
  • Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures
  • Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools
  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
  • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
  • Test performance of electro mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters
  • Train others to install, use, and maintain robots
  • Very good mechanical intuition, very "hands on” Careful attention to detail and quality, able to catch and debug new not-seen-before problems Design and build fixtures and tools to assist with assembly
  • Able to learn quickly by example and work in a fast-changing prototype environment where work may change week to week, without detailed step by step instructions
  • Run experiments to improve our processes
  • Run test stations and do light data entry
  • Flexible and able to take on different projects day to day as needed including assembly, repair, lab organization
  • High school with experience (6+ years of experience) 
  • 3-4 years of 3D CAD experience (Solidworks) 
  • 2 years of Machining experience (mill, lathe, laser cutter) 
  • Experience in circuit design and troubleshooting
  • Experience in cable manufacturing a plus
  • Experience with general linux commands/syntax
  • Basic navigation and file/directory management, executing scripts, network configuration and troubleshooting, etc. 
  • Experience with ethercat communications a plus
  • Use existing failure tracking software to organize, triage, and complete maintenance tasks/actions across multiple platforms
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
