SAP Business Systems Analyst (FI-CO)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a SAP Business Systems Analyst (FI-CO) for a contract position lasting through 7/30/2019, working with a major beverage distribution client in Denver, CO.
 
Responsibilities:
  • SAP Finance and Cost Accounting Subject Matter Expert in support of Global finance functions
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to standarize FI-CO functionality and processes across all instances of SAP
  • Build strong relationships within the business to understand their needs
  • Lead the definition of requirements for these standardization opportunities
  • Gain alignment across the global finance function regarding these opportunities
  • Evaluate and advise on the technical options/changes/overall solution
  • Collaborate with Finance, Global Data Governance and IT to the implementation of these opportunites. 
  • Responsible for supporting the global finance function on a day to day basis in FI-CO matters including transaction issues, process issues, reporting and FI-CO master data.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in SAP FICO and collaberate with IT to resolve
  • Support period end close process
  • SAP ECC Finance Master Data Owner -
  • Takes ownership of and provides oversight in the management of Finance Master Data - Company codes, Global Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Functional Areas, etc.
  • Responsible for the end to end processes associated with FMD
  • Reviews/assesses all finance master data requests, makes appropriate assignments, applies governance and standards criteria
  • Coordinates with requestor and or Business Unit data steward on request specifics
  • Coordinates with the Global Technical Accounting organization to ensure our FMD is US GAAP compliant and meet the requirements necessary to faciliate accurate external financial reporting
  • Coordinates with IT and our 3rd party to implement.
  • Coordinates with the Data Readiness Manager responsible for data mapping in BI
  • Coordinates with Manager Global Finance Applications - BPC to provide related master data requirements for the global financial consolidation systems.
  • Performs all Finance Master Data controls for SAP ECC6
  • Global Governance of Finance Master Data
  • A key contributor in the definition and implementation of Global Governance policies, procedures/processes, standards, metrics, etc. for FMD.
  • Serve as the key expert in defining/designing the FMD standards that will drive consistent financial reporting globally.
  • Serves as a change agent in the area of managing and governing Finance Master Data globally.
  • T collaberation - FI-CO Solutions
  • Works closely with management, business users, and business partners to develop roadmaps for deploying new functions or changes in the financial systems landscape
  • Participates in local and global IT projects in an advisory capacity to evaluate impacts to finance master data and finance processes and drive consensus on solutions.
  • Collaborates with finance leaders and integrated teams to determine the technical solution that best meets the business requirements
  • Translating vague business requirements into actionable requirements and collaborates with IT in architecting solutions
  • Engaging on I/T projects as a Finance subject matter expert to help define system, process, and other relevant requirements, to perform testing of system solutions that support finance processes, to help create finance business process documentation and determine impacts of change on processes and data
  • Training and R2R process improvements
  • Develops and delivers ECC FI-CO related training to end users
  • Provides ECC SAP -FI-CO cross training to other team members to increase expertise within the group
  • Collaborates with the R2R Process team to identify business pain points and asses how FI-CO functionality can be leveraged or enhanced to resolve or improve efficiency
Qualifications:
  • 8 to 10 years working experience in information technology or related business management experience
  • Candidate must have in-depth system configuration experience and business processes knowledge of FI and CO modules in SAP and must be expert in integrated processes and modules. (Chart of Accounts, Profit Centes, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Functional area, CO-PA, etc.)
  • Expert level understanding of SAP FI-CO and integration points with other modules
  • Expert level understanding of accounting and finance processes - particularly Foreign Currency translation, Intercompany, Ownership/Investments/Equity accounting
  • Solid understanding of financial consolidation concepts/processes
  • Experience in finance master data management
  • At least 2 full-cycle SAP projects as a Finance/SAP FICO lead
  • Experience in managing and implementing change
  • Strong understanding of the systems development life-cycle and typical problems associated with the implementation of information systems, from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support 
  • Able to convert strategy into results

  • Global implementation and shared services experience is a strong plus
