Genesis10 is currently seeking a Help Desk Agent for a contract for hire or direct hire opportunity for a Telecommunications company in Houston, TX.

Provides first and second level technical support at various levels of expertise and responsibility. Includes support hardware, password support, software, mobile devices and networks both telephone and desk side support within home office.

Support will include MS Windows 7, MS Office, laptops, desktops, printers, numerous in-house applications, and mobile applications. Ideally seeking experience supporting Mitel Phone Systems as well.

You will take phone calls and be the single point of contact for technical issues, requests, and questions for our staff. Ticketing System is used to create and complete requests, experience working with similar is needed. The typical office hours are 8-5, but there is some flexibility (7-4 or 9-6).

  • Experience in help desk phone support environment.
  • Experience using a ticket tracking system
  • Strong Windows support experience including MS Exchange
  • Experience supporting Mitel Phone System is highly desirable
  • MS Dynamics CRM support experience is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience supporting computing platforms, operating systems, hardware, software and networking; understands integration of these components
  • Demonstrated strong diagnostic skills in software
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, business professional environment
  • Works independently and displays sound time management skills
  • Is self-motivated, reliable, and has initiative
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and exhibits sound judgment
  • Effectively communicates in written (i.e. issue ticketing system) and verbal form (soft skills)
  • Ability to adjust communication style depending on customer technical knowledge
  • Demonstrates the following customer service skills: Empathy, Proactive guidance, Efficient use of call time, Full resolution, Clear communication, Active listening
  • Is flexible by responding to changing business needs and technical requirements
  • Works cohesively in a team environment
