Genesis10 is actively seeking an Automation Equipment Technician for a CONTRACT TO HIRE position with our Facilities Management client located in Etna, OH.
 
Description:
  • Primarily perform Mechanical and Lubrication tasks on automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Utilizes working knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and repair of material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, maintaining automated conveyor systems, lubrication, and preventive / predictive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
  • Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on conveying systems, power transmissions, and other power driven rotating equipment. Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.
  • Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
  • Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
  • Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and bucket trucks.
  • Repairs to be performed in conformance with established standards. Assist in formulating standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communications with all team members to support the development of short and long-range planning in support of the company's goals and objectives
  • Any personal tool requirements will be communicated as part of employment. If personal tools are required, employee must maintain and keep tool lists up to date.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job with or without an accommodation
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
  • Tracking and storing the departments inventory, including spare parts
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations and have attendance within acceptable guidelines
Requirements:
  • Possess a high school degree or an approved GED. Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a good working knowledge to include, but not limited to, the troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, maintaining automated conveyor systems, lubrication, and preventive / predictive maintenance.
  • Must have working knowledge of the following topics: using hand / power tools, precision alignment, rigging, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
  • Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
  • Automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Blueprint and mechanical schematic reading
  • Repair of material handling equipment
  • Preventive and Predictive maintenance procedures
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
  • Crawling, kneeling, and bending are common activities on any given day.
  • The work area is noisy, so ear protection is required safety gear..
