Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager III with our client in the SEO industry in their New York, NY location. This is a 6 month + contract position.

Description:
  • Seeking a Project Manager III
  • Content Studio is a full-service creative agency that designs and creates rich content
  • We support a variety of user-facing products across Maps, Travel, Hotels, Search, Dining, Shopping, Education and more, as well as internal products
  • Our team includes content strategists, program managers and specialists in localization, tool development and operations
  • We partner with other teams to solve user problems
  • We incubate new ideas and plan, deliver and manage quality content at scale
  • Role Overview: 
    • Assist Content Studio (part of Content & Community) in the development of new business initiatives across several multi­disciplinary projects
    • Plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle
    • This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders, and keeping all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines

Responsibilities:
  • The role will require managing multiple, but not all, responsibilities described below and may evolve as various aspects of the business take shape and increase/decrease in priority
  • Localization Management:
    • Oversee team­wide localization projects, including translation quality, policy/guidelines, processes, vendor management and tool development 
    • Provide localization expertise to cross-­functional product teams and stakeholders, working collaboratively to understand and execute on needs 
    • Work with global localization team and external vendors to drive effectively drive forward scaling of localization program 
  • Process Management:
    • Scope, plan and lead business transformation and operational efficiency projects across the Content & Community department
    • Drive acceptance and adoption of newly developed processes and tools, ensuring broad buy-in of business priorities, metrics, and workflows
    • Gather quantitative and qualitative information, and perform occasional quantitative analyses, while articulating compelling recommendations
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, and reporting, driving required changes to ensure optimum efficiency
    • Understand the needs of 20+ product teams across Content & Community, communicating targets and progress against goals
    • Respond to escalations from various teams. Provide timely, high-touch responses and clear guidance
  • Vendor Management:
    • Workflow management - define optimal workflow to ensure strong execution
    • Work with cross-functional teams across geographies for flawless execution of project/process plans
    • Escalations management - hands on technical support to deal with escalations and complex issues
    • This will require gaining strong expertise with proprietary tools and products
    • Participate in vendor requirements gathering, criteria definition, vendor identification and selection
    • Drive onboarding of selected vendors by implementing defined processes and best practices

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree and 6+ years of practical experience 
  • Solid project management skills with a focus on large­-scale projects across distributed teams 
  • Knowledge of internationalization and localization best practices and standards 
  • Solid data analysis skills including spreadsheet manipulation and intermediate SQL scripting
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with localization technologies, content management systems and/or scripts 
    • Ability to independently manage time-sensitive projects and competing priorities 
    • Expertise or deep interest in one or more international markets 
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, quality-focused and proactive 
    • Strong communication skills and comfort with stakeholder management 
    • Ability to learn new policies, systems and technologies quickly
    • Interest in working on scaling quality content in multiple languages
