Genesis10,, is seeking a IT Learning Designer for a contract position with our client in Atlanta, GA.


This job requisition is for a "Domestic " position. The Instructional Designer IT is an education and training expert in activities that develop and maintain team member competence in airline domain and in software applications. Implements processes that support the organization's commitment to education, focused on learning assessment, curriculum standards, evaluation of competency, training program development and adherence to vendor-driven education requirements as well as applicable IT departmental data security and access policies. Responsible for user application training, including training program development, design of training documentation, user feedback reviews and application competency development. Provides process analysis for application workflows, participates in application testing to demonstrate quality assurance and provides user support for applications as assigned.

  • Applies a systems approach to curriculum design, re-design and development.
  • Participates in the planning, development, and evaluation of learning programs from new hire training materials supporting ongoing learning and professional development of our IT learner audiences.
  • Define learning objectives.
  • Creates or converts existing instructor-led curriculum into an online learning format.
  • Creates engaging concept designs for new e-learning solutions aimed at a range of different audiences, ensuring solutions are fully accessible, visually engaging and appropriate to the learner audience
  • Review and amend e-learning courses with thorough testing before releasing for use (proof course)
  • Responsibility to self-manage multiple projects (project management)
  •   Instructional Designers will also cross train across applications as needed in order to create and maintain depth and coverage within the department, as well as serve as administrators of applications utilized by the organization for education purposes (i.e. Successfactors LMS systems, Skillsoft, Pluralsight, edX, etc).

  • Rates shown without management fee included. Bachelor's degree or Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Education or equivalent job experience/education preferred. Experience preferred in: developing instructor led or on-the-job training courses; using basic analysis tools; identifying job knowledge and skill requirements; using instructional design methodology (ISD); building level 1 and level 2 evaluations; facilitating sessions with subject matter experts; producing design documents; developing facilitator and participant guides; developing learning interventions supported by technology; identifying instructional strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in applicable field of instructional design and technology preferred; instructional certification with applicable work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in Instructional Design
  • Experience in building engaging, effective instructor-led learning programs and tools using current and successful strategies
  • Proven ability to produce quality results using rapid development models and tools
  • Proven experience with Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia
  • Experience in conducting learning analysis
  • Experience in building engaging, effective online learning programs and tools using current and successful strategies
  • Experience in creating immersive learning concepts
  • Proven experience with HTML
  • Experience with incorporating multiple media elements in to learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation, and self-developed graphics
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision making abilities
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Visio
  • Strong time management, planning skills
  • Highly motivated, eager to make a difference in the learning process
  • Very creative and looking for an opportunity to apply this creativity in the form of interactions, media inclusion and motivation strategies to produce unique, innovative and successful learning programs
  • Ability to comprehend complex topics /specialized information and simplify for learners
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, matrix environment
