Genesis10 is currently seeking an Instructional Designer III with our client in the SEO industry in their Sunnyvale, CA location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

  • Seeking an Instructional Designer III
  • The Productivity Docs and Edu team document engineering platforms, frameworks, libraries, and tools used by our client's engineers to create web and mobile apps. As an Instructional Designer, you will design, develop, launch, and maintain highly technical curriculum for engineers.
  • You are also expected to quickly establish and maintain relationships/credibility with partners, identify needs/requirements, and manage multiple and potentially inconsistent sources of content.

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and organize technical training materials
  • Identify learning and performance objectives
  • Propose innovative learning solutions to solve organization needs
  • Analyze needs and design scalable learning solutions
  • Develop facilitator guides, content, and evaluation strategies
  • Interpret evaluation data and suggest improvements based on feedback
  • Develop and validate quantitative and qualitative assessments for learning programs
  • Advocate for the student experience

  • BA/BS Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related discipline
  • 4+ years' experience designing, developing, and delivering learning using multiple media
  • Hands-on experience with technical topics or environments (e.g., programming, front-end development, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of software engineering environment
  • ADDIE (Methodology in ID
  • Action-oriented understanding of instructional design methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Knowledge of learning format options and trade-offs
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Experience with data-driven decision making
  • Confidence with technical topics when working with subject matter experts
  • Tolerance and enthusiasm for ambiguity and change
  • Scrappy (e.g., be able to jump in and get your hands dirty, find the right balance between cost and quality to fit the need)
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
  • Desired:
    • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related discipline
    • Strong project management skills
