Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager III with our client in the SEO industry in their Costa Mesa, CA location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

  • Seeking a Project Manager III
  • Under general direction, plans and manages multiple retrofit projects requiring building inspection for firestop application where fire rated surfaces are penetrated
  • Inspects residential, commercial buildings and structures in various stages of construction, alteration, and repair, ensuring adherence to applicable building codes; performs related duties as required
  • Manages, organizes, and schedules building inspections in the City; 
  • Makes field inspections of residential, commercial and other types of building projects at various stages of construction or alteration for conformance to applicable structural, and building codes, city ordinances, and state laws and permit applications; perform inspections
  • Reviews permit applications; reviews building plans for compliance with code, performs final review before issuance of permit
  • Acts as an information source in the interpretation of building and safety codes representing the project owner
  • Keeps detailed records and prepares reports; assists in the field on matters regarding building safety and inspection
  • Subject Matter Expertise in
    • Firetop Systems
    • California Building Standards Code
    • Building Construction
  • Education, training, and/or experience that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience inspecting buildings and/or building plan review and enforcing municipal, county, and/or state building codes: with two (2) of the four (4) years performing the most complex inspection including, but not limited to, commercial or multi-story buildings, tracts, apartments and condominiums;
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience performing building inspections for a California municipal agency. Experience specific to firestop compliance plan review and inspection is a must. null
  • Desired Skills:
    • Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of start date
    • However, it is highly desirable that the incumbent will already possess this certification at time of hire
    • Certification as a Building Official
    • Certification as a Combination Inspector;
    • Certification as a Building Plans Examiner AND Combo Dwelling Inspector Certificates must be issued by one of the following organizations: the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO), the International Code Council/Council of American Building Officials (ICC/CABO), the Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA), or the Southern Building Code Congress International (ClientCI).
