Strategical Marketing Actuary, S.E. Asia

Our clients who are a new-blood but under fast growing in the Asia market who looking for a high caliber to join their Actuarial Product team who responsible for Product Marketing, Product Management, reinsurance advisory and assessment in their Regional office and focus on the South East Asia market. Strategical Marketing Actuary, S.E. Asia
  • Source for reinsurance business and lead technical discussion with clients on new initiatives, with the goal to deliver appropriate solutions to meet with client's strategic growth aspirations;
  • Pro-actively contribute to R&D efforts to introduce new health and medical solutions for clients;
  • Provide innovative reinsurance solutions, leveraging on technology, to engage actively with client to achieve strategic, business and financial targets as per approved Business Plan
  • Provide ground-up justification for pricing of Mortality, Health, Medical and Longevity business, and work with Head of Pricing to build/review Terms of Trade;
  • Develop and maintain relationship with C-suites, especially CFO & Chief Actuary, decision makers and key influencers;
  • Takes a market relevant approach and leverage on data and technology to introduce new risk acceptance protocols for health products (critical illness, cancer, diabetes, heart conditions, etc.) and medical products (in-patient, out-patient, dental, maternity);
  • Work closely with Head of Pricing to provide relevant information for Terms of Trade;
  • Work closely with Underwriters to refine and sharpen risk acceptance protocols for our target markets, this include meeting with clients when the need arises;

  • Bachelor degree or above in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or any other numerate degree;
  • Fellow with an internationally recognised actuarial body;
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant life insurance or reinsurance experience, preferably with regional / international exposure;
  • Prior experience in innovation / product development / R&D role is preferred;
  • Familiar with Asia markets, especially South East Asia & Middle East;
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin;
  • Willing to travel as required;
