IT FINANACE ANALYST 

Job Description 
  • The role of the IT FP&A Analyst is to support the PHIT Governance Team in implementing Budgeting, Forecasting, Finance-related processes, internal controls and special projects .
  • The IT FP&A Analyst will play a key part in IT Financial discipline, decision support and management reporting to inform all business and IT stakeholders on the progress and effectiveness of the company's strategic plans and IT investments.
  • Must be fully proficient in the critical skills, knowledge and competencies required for the job and function. May also be proficient in one or more specialty areas.
  • The IT FP&A Analyst shall be assigned point-of-contact or primary support role responsibilities for IT Financials-related operational areas.
  • All management reports are subject to review and sign-off by the IT Governance Manager prior to release/distribution.

Qualifications  
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration/Management and Accountancy.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement and Internal Controls.
  • With integrity, accountability, sense of urgency, taking responsibility for doing what you say and delivering commitments.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Is both a strong individual contributor and an effective team player.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint), Lotus Notes, Changepoint, ServiceNow, SAP B1 FICO MM
    Articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable on Information Technology, Software Development and ITIL/IT Operations.
  • Understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma (continuous process improvement), Metrics, Balanced Scorecard, Audit standards and procedures.
     

 
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the oversight and continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and relevant tools.  Serving as main Point-of-Contact (POC) to address inquiries related to PHIT Budget Plan and Department Variance Report (PHIT Spend Template)
    Analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators, complex financial information, including all areas of IT costs, operational expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Comparing historical results against budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward.
  • Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Supporting Management with in-depth analysis and accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision making purposes.
  • Preparing assigned reports (Monthly Finance Monitoring Sheet, Resource Management and IT-related Expense Summary) for the regular management status reporting cycles which should also cover analysis and recommendations to address any risk or issue encountered.
  • Conducting regular detailed reviews of ASCP, ASCI and ES Monthly Chargeback invoices, proper validation of IT vendor billings/requests for payment and other ad-hoc IT Financial Reporting and Analysis - catering to Local, Regional and Corporate Finance requirements.
  • Providing Changepoint production support to users, escalation to Canada Changepoint support for troubleshooting (as needed) and upkeep of PH Changepoint workplan, cost center, workgroup, and user account inventory.
