Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in solid modeling, detailed drawings, and design to join our DUV Platforms team. This position will be a temporary position (up to 18 months in duration) that will be focused on sustaining and developing mechanical assemblies for our DUV lasers. Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Mechanical design of machined, sheet metal, and plastic parts
  • Create solid models and detail drawings in Creo
  • Calculate and Analyze mechanical tolerance stack ups
  • Conduct structural and thermal FEA modeling
  • Process change orders and update documentation
  • Collaborate with vendors on the fabrication of mechanical parts
  • Conduct problem solving on mechanical fit and performance issues
  • Design production fixtures for assembly and alignment
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups such as Optics, Chambers, Systems, and Controls on sub-system design
  • Other responsibilities may be added as business conditions arise

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a B.S in Mechanical Engineering
    • 0-5 years of experience, recent graduates will be considered
  • Experience designing mechanical parts (machined, sheet metal, molded)
  • Proficient with CAD software (solid modeling and detailed drawings). Creo is preferred.
  • Finite Element Modeling experience (structural, thermal, vibration)
  • Experience with documentation control systems, Agile and Windchill preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical tolerance analysis
  • Experience working with machine shops and other part fabricators
