Description:
  • In this role will be Responsible for the development, communication, implementation, training, management, and evaluation of Employee Health Programs for Client's Biosciences.
  • Serves as liaison between employees, management and outside health care providers to facilitate overall employee health issues and Workers' Compensation.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. General instructions on new assignments.
  • Additional experience working a functioning EHS department with background in some or all the following areas is highly desirable: Chemical Hygiene, Hazardous Communication - 2012, Industrial Hygiene, Laser Safety, BioSafety, and/or Medical Surveillance.
  • Will also have to create training presentations on areas they are well versed in and be able to deliver the training to all levels of associates at the site.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Nursing or specialty occupation preferred. Associate Degree Nursing or Diploma required.
  • Current RN license in state board of nursing required to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Two years of nursing experience required. Two years in Employee/Occupational Health in health care field and/or Emergency Nursing strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of State Workers Compensation Laws
  • Knowledge of FMLA and ADA
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, including Injury record keeping, CDC recommendations and state Department of Public Health regulations applicable to pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.
  • Computer literate on PC and related software.

  • COHN-S/COHN preferred. BLS required.

  • Ability to effectively communicate the appropriate information to the various levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, all levels of management, associates, attorneys, and the general public
  • Read, speak, write, and understand English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of HIPAA
  • Counseling experience preferred
  • Return to Work experience
