Position Summary:
 
  • The Director, Compensation is responsible for leading the design, implementation and administration of domestic and international compensation programs and processes.
  • Compensation programs include broad-based, executive and equity compensation design and implementation.
  • Accountable for aligning the development and design of domestic and international assignment strategies, reward policies and global remuneration practices with overall Company's business needs and strategy.
  • Develops materials for the Compensation Committee.
  • Partners with HR partners to ensure alignment of compensation programs, practices and processes including global mobility programs.
  • Provide an "outside in” innovative and consultative approach to compensation and administration.
  • Responsible for leading, mentoring and coaching the compensation team to meet the business strategy needs.
 
Position Responsibilities & Essential functions:
 
  • Design and execute on competitive and strategy aligned compensation programs (including all components of pay)
  • Design and implement broad-based, equity and executive compensation programs
  • Prepares materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Manage and continuously align and streamline global mobility and global compensation programs
  • Work to ensure that compensation programs and policy are applicable to the current Company's business environment
  • Partner with business partners, talent management, talent acquisition and other HR areas to ensure that compensation programs are aligned across HR
  • Direct, mentor and coach the compensation staff to effective compensation approaches and processes
  • Assess compensation programs and benchmarking methodologies and suggest modifications as necessary to ensuring achievement of a competitive market position and alignment with Company's short and long-term strategies and goals
  • Recommend and manage annual salary increase and bonus process, including budgets, by collecting market data (general, industry specific, geographic) and model budget proposals. Provide guidelines for linking salary increases to performance levels.
  • Develop and facilitate manager training on how to make and communicate salary decisions to employees.
  • Align with specific business areas to understand business needs and design, execute and administer appropriate compensation solution.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years of progression compensation administration experience
  • Ability to present clearly and concisely
  • Strategic orientation
  • Knowledge and of compensation administration and design
  • Experience administering focal review or year-end process
  • Analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Experience mentoring lower level compensation analysts
  • Experience designing and executing large scale compensation program changes
  • Experience with compensation design and administration
