  • Candidate would not be delivering the training. They would be creating the training for others to deliver.
  • Large project with high visibility. Project involves rolling out something new to advisors. Much training will be needed.
  • Include examples of previous work with submittal if possible. Bring examples of work to interviews.

Details: Our client, a national financial leader, is looking for a seasoned Instructional Designer responsible for building training module and materials for eLearning courses, webinars and face-to-face training for a large project. In this role, you will partner with training peers and business partners to assess/analyze goals and objectives of learning priorities/projects and create design recommendations and strategies for training deliverables using ADDIE (or comparable) methodology.

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Strong experience creating eLearning courses, Webinars and face-to-face training
  • Experience building training modules
  • Strong understanding and ability to work with a learning management systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge and ability with e-learning tools and blended learning methodologies
  • Articulate Storyline 2 experience
  • Strong knowledge of available learning technologies and design trends
  • Project management skills
  • MS Office Suite proficiency

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Financial industry experience
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and identify solutions to address multi-stakeholder perspectives across the organization

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with training peers and business partners to assess/analyze goals and objectives of learning priorities/projects and create design recommendations and strategies for training deliverables using ADDIE (or comparable) methodology.
  • Manage end-to-end creation of training including design/development of content, assisting with business partner reviews, evaluation, and measurement.
  • Assess and maintain quality of training content throughout the process based on established set of standards.
  • Design Story-boards and develop instructor-led, e-learning, video, blended, and other content.
  • Ensure that instructional design principles and industry standards and specifications are adhered to in all phases of design.
  • Utilize design and publishing tools such as Articulate Storyline 2, Lectora, Captivate, Camtasia, Snag-It Microsoft Office, and others.
  • Utilize multiple mediums in development of distance-learning: tutorial, video, audio, gamification, polling, social-learning and testing.
  • Focus content on learner retention, skill transfer, and sustainment.
  • Create evaluation, measurement, and metrics strategies for learning priorities leveraging the Kirkpatrick model, and collaborating with appropriate reporting/sales metrics teams within the firm.
  • Maintain existing content with an eye toward continuous improvement while adhering to content archival and upkeep SLAs.
