Details: Our client, a national financial leader, is looking for a seasoned Front End Developer. In this role, you will rewrite legacy web applications, uplift existing code bases, build new JavaScript components, and interact with both internal and external APIs to directly influence the financial well-being of millions of people.

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Front End development experience
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Experience integrating multiple aspects of design requirements, including platform support, scalability, services integrations, and framework suitability
  • Strong object-oriented and/or functional programming skills
  • Experience writing and maintaining quality documentation
  • Experience using modern build processes using preprocessors, transpilers, and package managers (e.g. webpack, bower, yarn, etc.)
  • Experience writing plain JavaScript fluently and efficiently
  • Experience with application development, from ideation to delivery to support, using ECMA Script specification and modern frameworks outside of jQuery
  • Experience apply programming paradigms to code (functional, object-oriented, etc.)
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
 
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts to non-technical partners in addition to technical peers
  • Ability to take initiative, ask questions, and request help when necessary
  • Ability to actively participate in code reviews and mentor more junior engineers
  • Ability to summarize code problems succinctly using correct terminology
  • Experience with development on high visibility public websites
  • Experience working within larger corporate teams
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with and implementation knowledge of test-driven and behavior-driven development concepts
  • Ability to view large, complex problems as opportunities for growth
