Supply Chain Associate

This position provides support in several key areas in the Supply Department: inventory, procurement, shipping & receiving, and parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs and ordering more materials when necessary
• Contact buyer in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other issues
• Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications
• Compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment
• Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records manually or using computer
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count, investigate and report reasons for discrepancies
• Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price, and cost
• Ensure items are packaged & shipped per company policy and procedure
• Pick a mode of shipment that will be both economical and expeditious
• Ability to track and report all items shipped
• May be required to operate an industrial truck and pass a DOT physical.
• Receive items that have been purchased for use by our company as inventory, non-inventory or services
• Match purchase order line items with items received
• Ensure that all documentation is properly completed and filed according to company requirements
• Prepare and complete all necessary documents to ship dangerous or hazardous material in accordance with IATA, D.O.T CFR49 regulations and company polices
• Package hazardous materials in accordance with government standards, D.O.T. CFR49, regulations, and state and local laws
• Inspect all parts, deliveries, stock and maintain inventory
• Maintain monthly calibration report and oversee calibration schedule
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for company vehicles and fork lift
• Maintain office supplies inventory, track usage and cost, replenish inventory and stay within budget

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job operates in an industrial environment. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and portable stands and navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work at heights up to 20 feet. Must be able to work in extreme heat/cold. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and work in narrow aisles/passageways. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, balance, push, pull, kneel, grasp, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods of time. Must be able to work primarily with fingers. Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 50 pounds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position is a full time position and hours vary based on departmental needs. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. depending on your shift assignment. There may be a weekend 'on call rotation' which is generally once a month depending on departmental needs and will be scheduled in advance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four years of related experience
• Valid driver's license
• Forklift experience
• Must successfully complete the D.O.T CFR-49 and IATA training for dangerous goods/hazardous materials shipping within 90 days of employment

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Associates Degree and
• Two years or more related experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE
No security clearance is required.

TRAVEL
No travel will be expected for this position.
