Details: Our client, a top national retailer, is looking for a Lead UX Designer responsible for driving projects through all stage gates and defining experiences. In this role, you will deliver full UX lifecycle deliverables for multiple fast-paced projects.

  • Strong UX Design experience
  • Experience delivering experience briefs, user journey maps, user flows, task flows, wireframes and functioning prototypes
  • Experience with various development/engineering approaches to understand how IT strategy impacts the user experience
  • Experience delivering digital solutions to a variety of industries
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment
  • Experience in lead role, defining projects and solutions, and leading teams
  • Experience providing direction to a number of resources
  • Experience with standard UX deliverable tool experience (Adobe, Sketch, Axure, etc)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Macs

  • Experience designing and leading design for B2B applications
  • Experience with task-based applications as opposed to e-commerce or brochure-ware sites
  • Agile/Iterative experience
  • Project Management experience, PMP certification
  • Strong ability to assert a point of view positively
  • Strong ability to collaborate and present work across UX, business and development resources
  • Ability to advocate for UX solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to work within a multi-person UX team

  • Act as the UX lead for multiple fast paced projects.
  • Drive projects through all stage gates and defining experiences.
  • Deliver full UX lifecycle deliverables.
  • Drive conversations, meetings, collaboration sessions and project definition between business, IT, and UX teams.
  • Responsible for driving projects through all stage gates and defining experiences via leading a team of UX Designers.
  • Take a client service approach to corporate relationships and act as a liaison between all project teams.
  • Collaborate with other UX resources to deliver the optimal UX solution based on requirements.
  • Estimate new scope work.
  • Act as the sole UX voice on the team but collaborate closely with other Retail UX team members and regularly consult with the UX Manager over the project.
  • Represent the larger Retail UX voice and champion company standards, industry best practices, and the voice of the user throughout discovery and development as a part of the business and technical teams.
  • Solve complex, multi-faceted problems and providing collaborative direction through whiteboard sessions, IA deliverables and design assets while understanding the limitations of various systems and the audience they are designing for.
